Our cleaning service is available across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and The United Kingdom. Please allow 3 -6 weeks for cleaning to be completed to MWL’s highest standards.

Cleaning & Restoration Terms

While every care is taken to restore your dress, veil and/or accessories to the highest possible standard, MWL cannot guarantee that any item will be returned to its original “as new” condition. Bridal garments and accessories are made from delicate materials, and our professional cleaners always prioritise fabric integrity over aggressive stain removal. This means some marks or signs of wear may remain after cleaning.

For best results, we recommend submitting your items as soon as possible after wear.

MWL reserves the right to refuse cleaning services where the cleaning process may risk further damage to the item. In these circumstances, your dress, veil and/or accessories will be returned to you without cleaning.

If, upon assessment, your item requires additional or more intensive cleaning that incurs an extra fee, we will contact you with a recommendation. You may choose not to proceed with this additional service; however, you acknowledge that this may result in reduced stain removal or restoration where the level of soiling is above standard.

Submission Requirements

It is a requirement that you complete and submit the online cleaning form before your MWL (or approved brand) item arrives with our cleaning team. This allows us to correctly identify, process, and return your item to you. If an item arrives without a corresponding submission, we will attempt to contact the sender; however, the item may be returned to the sender if we are unable to match it to an order.

Shipping, Customs & Liability

Any customs duties, import taxes, or related charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not covered by MWL. If MWL incurs customs charges in order to receive your item, these charges will be invoiced to the sender. Customers are also responsible for any customs or import charges incurred when the cleaned item is returned.

MWL cannot accept liability for items lost or damaged in transit to or from our cleaning team. We strongly recommend using tracked and insured shipping services when sending your items.

Once cleaning is complete, your dress, veil and/or accessories will be carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and boxed for return. Tracking details will be provided once your order has been dispatched.

Additional Services

Additional services (such as button repairs) are not included in the standard cleaning service and must be added to your order separately.

Our Extra Care Package includes light hand-sewn repairs such as:

  • Button replacement
  • MWL cup replacement
  • Minor appliqué, lace or beadwork repairs

Major repairs - including holes, large rips, tears, or zipper replacements - are not included in this package. If the Extra Care Package is not added to your order, your garment will undergo cleaning only.
