OUR PROCESS & PLACING YOUR ORDER

Mwl Design

Each MWL dress is designed in our design studio by Carla Jenkins and our expert team of designers, pattern makers and seamstresses.

Made To Order

Enjoy a personalised one on one appointment with a professional stylist. Once you select your gown, it is made to order and expertly crafted to your exact measurements taken during your appointment.

Each dress is individually produced, with its creation carefully scheduled to align with your wedding date.

How Do We Work?

During your appointment, our trained stylists will guide you in selecting the most suitable size for your body, including split sizing where required. Your chosen size, measurements, and stylist notes are carefully recorded and used to craft your dress with precision and care.

In some cases, brides choose to make minor alterations after their dress is delivered, for this reason we can provide recommendations for trusted and affordable local seamstresses.

To ensure a smooth and efficient process, we do not offer multiple fittings. If you anticipate changes to your measurements, please let your stylist know during your appointment so they can tailor an approach that best supports you.

How To Place Your Order?

If you visited one of our flagship boutiques in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, the Gold Coast, London, Manchester, or Utrecht, our team of dedicated stylists will be delighted to assist you with placing your order and guide you through the process with care.

If you discovered your dress at one of our authorised retailers, please contact them directly to complete your purchase.

Payment

For orders placed through our MWL boutiques, we offer a range of flexible payment options to choose from. For further information on our payment plans, please speak with your stylist during your appointment or contact us directly at hello@mwlbride.com.

For online orders, payment can be made in full or via PayPal Pay in 4 for purchases under $2,000 AU.

Timing And Delivery

MWL Boutique Brides - Purchased through a MWL Boutique

We recommend MWL Boutique brides receive their dress at least two months before the wedding to allow time for alterations and final styling. Standard and priority order options are available, please connect with your stylist to assist with choosing the right option during your appointment.

For boutique orders, we’ll email your tracking number when your dress ships from our Gold Coast office. A signature is required on delivery. Please try on your dress as soon as possible, without makeup, lotions, or fake tan.

If you notice any sizing issues, email hello@mwlbride.com within 24 hours of delivery with photos. We’ll work with you to resolve the issue; unfortunately, we cannot cover costs reported after 24 hours.

International Brides - Purchased through a MWL Partner

International brides should contact their local stockist for timelines, rush options and queries relating to their purchase.

Shipping

We ship worldwide on all veils, accessories, and Ready to Wear dresses.

Free shipping is available on orders over $220 AU. Orders under $220 incur the below shipping fees.

Standard shipping fees:

Australia – $10

International – $20

Express shipping (Australia only via Australia Post):

Veils & accessories – $15 AUD

Ready to Wear dresses – $30 AUD

Please select express shipping at checkout if required. While express orders are prioritised, dispatch may take up to 3 business days from our Australian HQ.

For international orders, duties, taxes, and customs fees are not included and are the responsibility of the buyer. These charges are determined by the destination country’s customs authority and are payable upon delivery. Please check with your local customs office for details before purchasing.

Returns

Made To Order Styles:

As each dress is made to order to specific measurements, we are unable to accept returns, exchanges, or offer full refunds on made to order dresses.

Returns for accessories (excluding earrings and headbands for hygiene reasons) may be accepted if you contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Ready to Wear Styles:

If your Ready to Wear order was placed in-store with assistance from an MWL Boutique stylist, you are eligible for an exchange or credit note if the item is not suitable.

If your Ready to Wear order was placed online without stylist assistance, we can offer a refund (excluding shipping).

Accessories:

We accept returns on select Veils & Accessories as long as they are in their original condition, unworn, unaltered, and unwashed.

To initiate a Ready to Wear or accessory return, please contact hello@mwlbride.com within 48 hours of receiving your item. Once approved, items must be returned within 14 days (Australia) or 21 days (international). All items must be in original condition and must not be worn, altered, or washed.

Sale items:

  • Sample sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. Any faults will be clearly described.
  • All sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged
Change Of Mind

As all made to order dresses are custom created specifically for you, we are unable to offer returns or refunds for change of mind, changes in circumstances, or wedding cancellations. If production has not yet commenced, you are welcome to amend your order; however, refunds are not available.

Refunds cannot be offered if you decide the dress does not suit you, as each dress is made exclusively to your measurements.

Our HQ team does not work on weekends. Emails and DMs sent after 2pm AEST on Fridays or over the weekend will be responded to within 1–2 business days.

We are based in Queensland, Australia, and observe all Queensland public holidays.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a boutique appointment, please contact hello@mwlbride.com within 72hrs of your appointment time.
